tary of the Interior for one term. The

newly appointed secretary of the

Dominican legation. Senor Maximo

L. Vaaquez, also came to Washington

last week and, accompanied by Senora

de Vasques, is established at the

Roosevelt Hotel. Senor Vasques is a

nephew -of President, Vaequez of the

Dominican Republic.

The charge d'affaires of Panama

and Senora de Chevalier returned

Friday from Philadelphia, where they

attended the Sesquicntennial and the

opening there of the Panama exhibit.

are expected to arrive Friday- aboard

the Mauretania, which sailed from

Southampton yesterday. M. and Mme.

Llpova have been on vacation In
