SummaryResumen

Columnist Raymond Clapper in the *Washington Daily News* criticized Representative Hamilton Fish for praising General Trujillo's regime as a "golden age" during a New York dinner. Clapper cited first-hand reporting by Quentin Reynolds of *Collier's*, who investigated the border atrocities and observed victims mutilated by Dominican forces. Clapper maintained that any prosperity Trujillo claimed was purchased through the murder of thousands of obscure Haitian peasants.
