SummaryResumen

This travel feature describes the Dominican capital as a place where automobiles are plentiful and the ride to San Cristobal along the new macadam boulevard is most attractive, with cars to be had for four dollars an hour. It notes several hotels, of which the Hotel Francis is the best known, a large foreign colony at the capital and in Macoris and Puerto Plata, a trip from New York of about eight or nine days stopping at all ports, and a climate it calls wrongly thought unhealthy, with no serious epidemic since the cholera outbreak of the early sixties.
