SummaryResumen

The Evening Star reported that the OAS investigating committee led by Dr. Jose A. Mora issued unprecedented findings condemning state-sponsored subversion in the Caribbean. The report found President Rafael Trujillo's regime guilty of aiding plots to overthrow the Haitian government, while finding Cuban and Guatemalan officials complicit in Caribbean Legion expeditions against Trujillo. The committee urged the OAS Council to actively enforce its authority by invoking Rio Treaty sanctions against future violators.
