SummaryResumen

The *Evening Star* reported that the Office of Price Administration filed a lawsuit seeking $80,870.25 in triple damages against V. M. Hinojosa, Dominican consul in Kansas City and president of the Pan-American Trading Company. The complaint charged that the firm sold imported Mexican ponderosa pine lumber at prices exceeding established ceiling limits and with incorrect grading. Hinojosa contested the suit, asserting that the lumber was bought in Mexico and sold border f.o.b. beyond U.S. price jurisdiction.
