was caused by a story concerning

Dominican rum and a recent picnic

A certain Cuban sugar expert who

His

"Well, I’ll be seeing you in the

Reference was to the “March of

i seeing the film, Pastoriza complained

to Assistant Secretary of State Sum

NOTE: Pastoriza’s role is a tough

one and he plays the game well.

It is hard to represent a dictator

in the United States (a country so

baffling to foreigners) and keep

one's poise and good humor while

under fire.

party well planned. It began with

whisky sours and cocktails, continued

thru white and red wines and cham

cigars—and whisky-sodas. If all dip

lomats modeled their dinners on Fi

to life.

Guests looked cool in white suits.

Conversation was varied and enter
