If the masters of the Krem-

lin should decide to press the

Communist cause in Korea they

would face three large groupings

of non-Communist nations that

are bound together to stop ag

gression.

The three groupings overlap.

The United States is the one

major power that is a member of

all three groupings. As such it

would necessarily act as a king

pin Jf there were need to tie the

three groups together—that is,

to unite the non-Communist

world against full-scale aggres

sion.

The groupings are these:

The 12 nations in the North

Atlantic pact, which ties the

United States and Canada to

gether with 10 nations of West

ern Europe to stand together

against aggression against any

member.

The Rio de Janeiro pact,

which ties the United States and

Canada together with 10 nations
