rates to most Latin American coun

tries were announced yesterday by

Postmaster General Walker.

The reductions, effective Sunday,

will apply from the United States,

Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Virgin

Islands to the Canal Zone and Cen

tral and South America, except

Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, the Bahamas,

Jamaica and the Dominican Re

public, where rates remain un

changed.

Representative reductions are:

From the United States to Argen

tina 20 cents, reduced from 40 cents:

Brazil 20 cents, from 40 cents: Canal

Zone 10 cents,"from 15 cents: Peru

15 cents, from 30 cents: Venezuela

15 cents, from 25 cents.
