Efforts to save the “old swim

min’ hole” opposite the baseball

park were renewed today by counsel

for the bankrupt Columbia Sports

and Amusement Company, Inc.

The action was in the form of a

petition to the District Supreme

Court to set aside the sale of the

assets of the concern, made on No

vember 27, under bankruptcy pro

ceedings.

The sale was made to Fred

Drew, contractor, who built the

place, and bought it In under the

bankruptcy sale. Through Attorney

Abner Seigal, the company claims

that the sale price was inadequate,

declaring that the lease alone was

worth $50,000.

The total assets, the petition re

cites, are worth $135,000, and are

more than enough to pay off the

creditors, if the management is

given a chance to do so.

Counsel for the creditors, how

ever, declare that the tank, lease

and all equipment isn’t worth
