LONDON STOCK MARKET DISTURBED

LONDON (AP) The possibility of an early general election

had an unsettling influence on the London Stock Market yesterday.

After a strong start many issues with industrials in the lead, began

drifting off.

Dollar stocks were dull. Gold shares made a promising start but

lacked support. Prices drifted off and closed below openers. Coppers

were quiet but firm. Oils reflected the uncertain Middle East situation

and moved lower. Pubbers and teas were unwanted.
