In a patriotic manner and with civic and political discipline,

have solved the serious problem brought by the military

rebellion of General Leon Cantave, who disregarded the

civilian provisional government which was in Power, and

which was exercising its functions, within the guberna

mental crisis, in accordance with certain constitutional and

democratic norms, until complete normalcy was attained.

With full conscience of what the will of all the citizens

can realize in a well coordinated civic action, the Haitian

people confronted the rebel military leaders, and making

echo to that will, a great part of the Army joined the

people in the struggle for restoration of a civilian regime.

Lets hope that the people of Haiti and, specially, the

leaders of the country’s political parties, fully understand

that it is necessary to proceed, as soon as possible, to the

solution of the political impasse that the nation is facing

now, in order that events develop again within legitimate

democratic order and subjet to constitutional and lawful

norms.
