The corrected reading of the barometer

(reduced to sea level) nt New York on

Frhlnv. May 2B, 1022, at 8 AM. as reported

by the United States Weather Bureau,

was twenty-nine and ninety-one hundredths

(20.01) Inches. This closely approximates

seven hundred and fifty-nine and seventenths

(7MI.7) millimeters. Captains of all

vessels now lying In or near the porta of

New Yprk and Brooklyn can advantageously

use the above official data for observing

whether their own barometers require any

considerable correction or adjustment.
