SummaryResumen

A Washington report describes a new plan to settle the Dominican Republic's debt after the original bond sale to a New York firm fell through because of the money market. Foreign creditors recognized in the original project would receive an immediate pro rata cash payment from the $3,500,000 accumulated in the National City Bank from 55 per cent of the republic's customs revenues over two years, with the bond sale postponed or bonds issued directly by the Dominican government for the remainder, in a settlement to be discussed with Senor Velasquez at the State Department.
