Haiti, reading:

“The Inter American Press As

the destruction of the printing

shops of the dailies “Miroir” and

“Independent”, particularly after

having received your cable of April

30 where you gave us assurances

of press freedom maintenance.

“We trust that an inmediate and

energetic investigation will be made

to stop and arrest the offenders,

and hope that your Excellency’s

government will guarantee the Hai

the Western Hemisphere that this

violence is in no way a reflection

of any of your government depart

“The frequent terrorist acts hap

people of the continent, regarding

j the Haitian press and civil rights

I of the Haitian people in general.”

Earlier a spokesman of the own

ers of the Flying Lark told the

press here that 12 crew members,

including the vessel’s Chinese Cap

Communist Chinese newspapers

have gone all out in a accusing

American and Nationalist Chinese

in Indonesian waters.

But neither of the two spokes

man for the owners of the Moro

and the Flying Lark have indicat

ed the nationality of the planes

which bombed the vessels.

Press dispatches from Singapore

and Indonesia said the bombings

were done tv “unidentified air

craft.”
