Mr. Balaguer, in a radio ad

government had emerged in

full control from the crisis

prompted by the return of two

Trujillo family leaders last

Mr. Balaguer declared that:

the crisis was created by the!

"ambitious and senselessness

of some men of rural men

two cabinet members but of

fered no further identification.

Mr. Balaguer’s address on

the state of the nation ob

to squelch reports of rumblings

in military ranks over some of

his military appointtes named

to succeed exiled Trujillos. He

said there was “propaganda

tending to create a false im

pression” that threats of a

coup d’etat remained but

warned Dominicans not to

take stock in such reports.

Opposition Leaders Welcomed

As lights from United States

warships still twinkled off

shore, Mr. Balaguer said he

would announce new plans to

morrow to hasten the installa

the land after three decades of

Trujillo’s feudal dictatorship.

Mr. Balaguer’s address fol
