More on Samaná BayMás sobre Bahía de Samaná

SummaryResumen

The *New York Herald* argued that if the United States desires Samaná or any part of St. Domingo, it should simply purchase the territory to avoid future disputes, while criticizing the current government's policy as timid and narrow-minded. The newspaper also questioned whether the administration's sudden emphasis on the importance of the Bay of Samaná was a subterfuge designed to cover up its weak policy regarding Cuba.
